that's wats up kinfolk haha ol' girl lexi was too crunk about obama and i think she shoulda just said it straight up "I voted for Obama because he is a fine black man" hahah I think that's how she really felt. I was please to see that the brother didn't say "O, it's cause he a nigga man" and he really had a valid issue that he felt Obama could change. I don't know how it was up there, but it was pure insanity out here, well insanity mixed with ignorance of course haha Niggas just running up and down hallways screaming and clapping, outside bassing "MY PRESIDENT IS BLACK, MY LAMBOS BLUE AND I BE GOT DAMN IF MY RIMS AINT TOO....", they even got together outside and marched from TSU to my dorms hangin outta cars, yelling at white people "YALL FUCKED NOW, DA PRESIDENT IS BLACK" just crazy haha, turn on da radio today and every Houston rapper got an Obama song. haha But it's a great day I must say. It just feels new already.......

It’s 2008, now is the time,
Let’s do some change, let’s spit some rhyme.
Obama n McCain, they put on a show,
The Democrat won cuz he had some flow.
Would he a won if he was white?
McCain mighta won wit out a fight.
Turnout was higher than Everest on weed,
They pulled that lever, they did their deed.
People actually carin’, oh what a sight,
Watchin our TVs all through the night.
The people have spoken and oh how they spoke,
Not too long ago a black man couldn’t even vote.
Obama was chosen like ma main man Jesus,
Damn brotha I hope ya can economically please us.
It’s gonna be hard, America’s divided,
Racial tension everyone knows hasn’t subsided.
I’m worried about America and if we’ll unite,
Can a black man lead us through this fight?
Time will tell cuz we don’t know,
So sit back and relax, let’s watch the show.

On one hand, I'm really proud of my country. It's amazing that we have a black president, and it was moving to witness black communities celebrating Obama's win. Our country has taken a huge step forward in this election.
On the other hand, I think our country has made a grave mistake electing Obama to the presidency. I was glad that the first guy in the video had a reason for voting for Obama, but it was scary to listen to Lexi's "reasons" for voting for him. I feel that so many Americans were totally uninformed about the candidates. Too many people get all their information from one source, if they even bother to get any substantial information at all--Lexi didn't know anything about Obama.
Obama is going to change this country--I just don't think people realize the kind of change he is going to bring. I personally don't want to see the United States turn into a socialist country, and if people would have paid attention to Obama's voting record and what he says, they'd realize this is more or less his plan.
